Digital Learning to Onboard 250K Volunteers at JA USA

The challenge

Celebrating its centennial in 2019, Junior Achievement is the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to giving young people the skills and knowledge they need to achieve economic success and build bright futures. JA reaches more than 4.8 million students in the United States and a total of more than 10 million around the world.

The solution

CrossKnowledge worked with JA to co-develop a single digital platform with consistent look and feel and an easy-to-use interface. The platform let JA digitize its content, converting binders full of classroom paper materials into digital content that can be easily accessed with existing in-school technologies. Although JA initially expected this process to take as long as 5 years, with CrossKnowledge’s help they have been able to accomplish digitization of key programs in less than a year.

The platform lets learners access content online, in or out of the classroom, while measuring progress and results with hard data. Digitization enhanced the experience for learners and the platform is easy to use and learn for both established and new volunteers. Additionally, the platform functions on virtually any classroom-based technology. It works in either a projection mode or in a 1-to-1 mode for individual students’ personal computers or tablets.
