Make the entire workplace open to innovation
Products enter the market today at a pace that had never before been seen in the history of industrialisation: In Western Europe, 12,000 innovations were launched in four markets across 17 product categories between 2011 and 2013. In India, there were more than 10,500 new launches in the FMCG sector in 2014 (Nielsen). And innovation isn’t just happening in R&D labs. It’s also occurring in processes, marketing and organisations.
Companies can no longer unveil great ideas inside their own walls. The digital revolution is turning companies inside out, exposing them to new elements and demanding alternate routes to innovation. Greater agility and flexibility are now required. It is not only a matter of doing better but rather a matter of shifting the paradigm.
