Starting in September, learners’ profiles will be set as private by default in CKLS
The value of the following three parameters will be set to private by default (as of today, it is set to public by default):
- My email address
- My presentation and my social network accounts
- Training courses I have in common with other learners
This default value will be taken into account on the following pages:
- The learner’s Privacy settings page (when the learner clicks on their picture at the top right of the screen)
- The learner’s public profile page (when the learner clicks on another learner’s picture in the People tab inside a Blendedˣ course)
The default value is applied only when the learner has not explicitly updated their privacy settings yet (i.e., displayed and saved the Privacy settings page).
This change will be applied to all learners in September. However, you can request our Support team to activate this change immediately.
To encourage learners to define the information they want to share, you can use the existing entity-level option in CKLS to force the Privacy settings page to be displayed when the learner logs in to the platform for the first/next time.
